High Quality Music Education

For various instruments and classical singing

HIGH QUALITY MUSIC EDUCATION

The Music Academy of the Anargyrios and Korgialenios school of Spetses (M.A.A.K.S.S), provides an educational platform for musical encounters where young adults are able to attend master classes by established international artists, as well as attend regular sessions to build on their musical skills.

  • International focus – our students come from across the globe

  • Faculty – Prestigious music professors from Greece & abroad

  • Community – classes & rehearsals open to the public

We bring together teachers from Greece and abroad to provide high quality music education sessions with music master classes and performances for both instruments and singing. We aspire to roll out a strong community engagement program to encourage citizens of Spetses and the region to participate, and together build a visionary academic program for Greece.

OUR VALUES

Provide a yearly ten-day music academy through an educational platform where prestigious music professors from Greece and abroad offer masterclasses to young musicians.

Give to the Anargyrios and Korgialenios School (A.K.S.S.) its own identity and previous prestige as an education centre.

In the framework of the Academy, high quality music education for youth is provided for various instruments and classical singing.

The Academy allows its members to exchange music skills and foment a direct contact with the locals of Spetses, its tourists and the musicians.

The young musicians perform a series of chamber music concerts and have the opportunity of sharing their experiences with the wider public of Spetses.

The classes and rehearsals of performances are open to the public.

Support education in the cultural and music field.

Highlight the importance of music education for Youth by offering them an opportunity to interact with one another and create unforgettable and enriching experiences and memories.

To ensure M.A.A.K.S.S. contributes to Spetses, we:

  • Created a ”Friends of the Academy” Association
  • Invite key local partners to be a part of the program
  • Identify local partners that could lend support in hospitality and F+B sectors
  • Support local businesses by ensuring their promotion through relevant marketing activities
  • The Academy will identify an international institution per year which will provide a grant to one student to participate in the academy
  • In turn, M.A.A.K.S.S. will identify a local student to visit the university’s summer camp
