Elodie Merlaud
Musician’s body balance

Elodie Merlaud is a french vocologist, speech therapist, phoniatrist and singer. She conducts musicians to a body balance and well-being.
Passionate by the voice, and after almost ten years as a speech therapist, she decided to complete her studies by a diploma of laryngo-phoniatry (DESIU) in 2022. Elodie is also a musician: starting music at 6 years old as a French horn player, she became a singer at 14 and obtained her diploma from the Lyon conservatory of music in Marcin Habela’s class in 2020.
Today, she uses her three diplomas (speech therapy, phoniatry and music) to help people in their expression and their art. In her private clinic near Lyon, Elodie not only assists individuals with their voice, but also organizes group sessions and master classes. Whether they are children or adult, musician or not, with a pathology or just the wish to evolve, she carries them with joy and benevolence. Her approach is based on the breath, the posture and the balance of the body, but also on the balance between the mind and the body. Using her knowledge about the anatomy, she adjusts some yoga exercices to the musician, to help them finding more focus, fluency and freedom in there playing.
During this masterclass, Elodie will be Marcin Habela’s assistant for the voice class, but she will also give group sessions about the breath, the body and the well-being opened to all the students.
